Issue Position: Platform and Position Statements

Issue Position

1. I will not take any Corporate gifts or contributions. I will work towards ethics reform within the State Legislature.

2. I will work to create legislation which will mandate an increase in the minimum wage in Virginia.

3. I will support Medicaid Expansion and work to increase availability of State Health Services.

4. I will support Clean Energy, such as Solar and Wind Power. I will also work to bring these Green Jobs into Virginia.

5. I will support adequate funding and progressive programs for The Public Schools of Virginia.

6. I will support the Equal Rights Amendment and work to make it a U.S. Constitutional Amendment.

7. I will draft a resolution supporting the overturning of the Supreme Courts Citizen United decision.

8. I will support the legalization of Medical Marijuana.

9. I will fight the Atlantic Coast Pipeline from becoming a reality. The crossing of our National Forest, Blue Ridge Parkway, private lands, watersheds and much more are to great a cost for getting supplies of natural gas that are already adequate.

10. I will propose to ban the use of hydraulic fracturing for natural gas and oil in the Commonwealth.

11. If elected, I will introduce legislation to limit residential building permits in school districts that have exceeded 120% of capacity.

12. I will oppose the drilling for oil off of the Virginia coast. We need to protect our beaches from a "Gulf" like spill.
